From
Gumlu
to you

The Castorina family has been farming in Gumlu since the 1960s, and has been on the current farm since the 90s. Originally a vege farm, the first mango trees were planted over 40 years ago, and since then the orchard has continued to grow.

Over the years, the family farm has been known as Castorina Capsicums, Castorina Mangoes and for the past 6 years, Sunshine Mangoes.

Today, Paul and Kayla Castorina are the custodians of the family farm and exclusively grow premium mangoes on their small patch of the glorious Whitsunday Shire.

We take pride in producing the iconic Aussie R2E2 Mango

As small growers, we are focused on quality. We consistently deliver premium quality R2E2 mangoes and we love that we can add our personal touch to every element of the process.

We are a mango-loving family and it is heartwarming to think about our mangoes bringing joy to other families around their dinner table or kitchen bench - each mango is a treasure from our family to yours.

We are constantly looking for ways to improve our farming practices and land management to ensure that we produce the best quality mangoes in the most sustainable way.

We have invested in environmentally sustainable solutions on our farm, including using

  • 100% recyclable cartons

  • 100% recyclable inserts for mangoes

  • solar power for packing shed, cool rooms, and irrigation

  • efficient irrigation and monitoring devices

  • integrated pest management to minimise pesticide use
